Important Information
PE
P.E. will be on a Friday!
Our focus for PE this half term is Rugby. Please come into school in your PE kit ready. A reminder of the PE kit information is;
- Black shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms
- White top
- Black Pumps.
In PE this term the children will learn dance. The pupils will learn to create a dance to a theme and learn about timing and fluency with their movements.
Spellings
Each week spellings will be shared on the class dojos on a Monday. Please practice the words each week at home. We will practise these words during the week in school as well to help the pupils learn the spelling patterns. Spellings will be tested on a Friday.
Homework

Reading
Children in Year 3 are expected to read their reading book at least 3 times a week to an adult at home. Children will be expected to read everyday in school during their guided reading lessons. Reading is also counted as homework.
Please bring reading books in regularly so that they can be updated to match the pupils reading levels. Thank you
- Compare and group together different kinds of rocks on the basis of their appearance and simple physical properties
- Explore how and why [rocks] might have changed over time (non-statutory).
- Describe in simple terms how fossils are formed when things that have lived are trapped within rock.
- Recognise that soils are made from rocks and organic matter.
